A bomb hidden in an ambulance killed at least 95 people and wounded about 158 in the Afghan capital on Saturday, January 27, 2018, when it blew up at a police checkpoint in a busy part of the city that was crowded with pedestrians at the time of the attack. According to reports, 70 to 80 % funds of Taliban come from Opium. In 2017 there was $1.4 billion opium was produced inside Afghanistan. That is 63% increased from the year before. This is all happening inside Afghanistan which the US and Afghan army can stop. Those who are close to the Afghan officials and Taliban leadership claim that Afghan governors police officials and other operatives hobnob with Taliban by attending their weddings and dinners parties. Under this scenario, how the US can appease Afghanistan.
George Freedman claims in his new book The Next 100 Years: A Forecast for the 21st Century that the presence of the US in Afghanistan is to create chaos in the region to contain Russia, China, Iran and central Asia.
